2-Acetyl furan is a light yellow liquid or crystal, insoluble in water, soluble in ethanol, propylene glycol, and other organic solvents. Melting point is 29~30℃, boiling point is 67℃/1333 Pa, relative density d204 1.0980, refractive index n20D 1.5065. The aroma detection threshold is 10mg/kg. Natural products are found in volatile aroma components of coffee and potato chips, etc. Also found in roast beef, roast pork, beer, ketchup, rum, red wine and green tea.
